About VisionPoint Marketing

VisionPoint Marketing is on a mission to become higher education’s most trusted enrollment marketing partner. As a full-service agency, we collaborate with colleges and universities nationwide to strengthen brands, accelerate marketing performance, and drive measurable enrollment growth. Our award-winning work is showcased on national conference stages, but our greatest pride is making life easier—and more successful—for our client partners. Headquartered in Raleigh, NC, we operate as a remote-first company with VisionPointers across every U.S. time zone, while offering hybrid and in-person options for those near our headquarters.

The Opportunity

As a CRM Strategist at VisionPoint, you'll have the opportunity to shape how we develop and execute CRM strategies that drive meaningful results for our clients. As part of our Strategy Team, you'll work alongside marketing strategists to connect marketing strategy, customer journeys, and CRM technology, helping colleges and universities create better experiences for prospective students and achieve their enrollment goals.

This role offers a unique combination of strategic thinking and hands-on execution. You'll be involved in developing the strategy, identifying opportunities, designing solutions, and bringing those solutions to life through CRM implementation and optimization. You'll have a voice in determining not just how we execute the work, but what we recommend to our clients and why.

As an official Slate and Element451 partner, VisionPoint works across multiple CRM platforms to ensure our clients have the right technology, strategy, and processes in place to achieve their goals. We remain intentionally CRM agnostic, and your expertise will help us support clients across a variety of platforms, including Salesforce and other CRM solutions.

You'll collaborate closely with marketing strategists, account directors, project managers, and other specialists while working directly with clients to understand their goals, develop solutions, and lead CRM implementations and optimization efforts.

Whether your background is in higher education or another industry, we're looking for someone who understands how CRM technology supports the customer journey and is excited about using that expertise to influence strategy, improve customer experiences, and deliver measurable results.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with Marketing Strategists to develop integrated marketing and CRM strategies that support client goals and improve the customer journey.
  • Conduct audits of client CRM systems to assess current configuration, functionality, utilization, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop CRM project goals, strategies, and implementation plans that translate client objectives into actionable solutions.
  • Lead CRM implementations and optimization efforts, applying technical knowledge of CRM data structures, integrations, workflows, and user experience to translate strategy into effective solutions.
  • Provide strategic guidance and hands-on execution across key CRM functions, including
    • Data management
    • Governance
    • Lead capture, management, and nurture
    • Event management
    • Multip-channel Orchestration
    • System integrations and workflow automation
  • Interaction tracking
  • Application and forms
  • Analytics and reporting
  • Audience segmentation and personalization
  • Marketing automation and communication journeys
  • Identify gaps, risks, and opportunities within client CRM systems and recommend solutions that improve performance and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to establish project priorities, develop implementation plans, and ensure successful execution.
  • Develop reporting and analytics to measure CRM performance, marketing effectiveness, and return on investment.
  • Contribute to VisionPoint’s CRM methodologies, best practices, and technology partnership programs.
  • Support new business opportunities by providing CRM expertise during discovery, solution development, and client presentations.

The ideal candidate possess the following skills, interest and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on CRM experience, including system configuration, implementation, administration, or optimization.

  • Experience developing and implementing CRM workflows, marketing automation, communication journeys, and reporting solutions.

OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 07/31/2029
Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
